Year 13, Final year A-Level. Yeay...!!

Haven't been here for such a long, long, long loooooonnnnnnggggg time, have I? This blog has been collecting dust for several months. It's (probably) almost 10 ft tall. Who cares~ I'm here now. Time for SPRING CLEAN...!! (Although it's not even spring at the moment)

It's final year of A-Level~ Now thinking about it, AS wasn't that bad, kan? "Now you're gone", AS.. hahahaha.... tia karang... They can still pop up in A2 papers.

My AS result, Maths papers tu, 3 marks out of perfect score. Can't you just give me the 3 marks? But, overall, Alhamdulillah. Now I think I need high A's in Chem and Phy for A2 to get A's. This year goal: try aiming A* for Maths and Further Maths (at least in Maths lah...) As Mr NL said aim high.

Beginning of Y13, hmmm... I still think I need to catch up here and there. I feel so unprepared. Was it just me or what? The other Oswestrians seems okay.

Oh well, at least this year PS buleh buat di bilik. Didin's room is mine now. It was a mess at first. See...

But after hours and hours of unpacking, organizing, hanging clothes, throwing rubbish away (why did I keep all this junk?) it finally looks ... well, relatively neater, I suppose ... in other word, 'acceptable'. By me, saying the least. Now your judge.

Neat right....? The only answer I want to hear is "yes". No others. I'll kill you if you dare. hahaha.... lol... no lah, just kidding meh... =P

Hiking

Again, Mr Morris brought us hiking this weekend. Venue: Wales. Wah...Kami crossed the border lah...

Kami naik bukit, naik pagar, lmpat barb wire, stop for a view, sliding down arah slippery mud, liat cave and snowball fight. High up the hill, ada snow... a bit labat. So fun to witness sendiri. But, it’s a bit annoying when the snow fall onto your eyelashes and get into your eyes. Happen to me quite a lot masa hiking. Neway, tadi tu bukan hiking kali... it’s ‘hiking-and-snowball-fight’.

Kami started hiking at around 12.15pm and finished at 3.00pm. Earlier than last time. Last time finish around 4-ish. P different jalan. Personally I think last week lagi jauh, p Mr Morris says this week’s trail is further than last week. Entah lah...inda tau...

It’s snowing before tea at school tadi... First time snowing quite heavy di skulah. Selalunya inda labat bnr. P too bad, sekajap saja. Time orang balik from chapel, stop tia. And now, cair dah... Laa....Nada chance skulah tutup esok. Hahahaha....

First Aid Course

It is essential to know the basic first aid before going for DofE expedition. Last Saturday, the 7 of us went for F.A. training. It went for about 5 hrs. (of course, we had break at 12.30pm; lunch time)

Ok, let’s see how much I can retain after 24hrs...:

• First, conduct primary survey. Check for Danger, Response from victim, Airway (make sure air passage isn’t block by lifting chin and tilting head), Breathing (check for max of 10sec), Circulation. Way to remember, DR.A.B.C.

• Secondary Survey: check for discharge of fluid. Gloves should be used. Check from head first and down to feet. Treat the most life threatening injuries first. Turn the victim into a recovery position. Again, make sure the air passage isn’t block by tilting the head.

• CPR is given when the victim is not breathing. How? For an adult, give 30 Chest Compressions followed by 2 Rescue Breaths. This should go in a continuous cycle until the paramedic come. For a child, first give 5 Initial Rescue Breaths, then followed by a cycle of 30 Compressions and 2 Rescue Breaths. The Compressions should be 4-5cm deep and should be 100 compressions per min. If unwilling, just do 100 Compressions per min continuously.
  

 

Wah...I can still retain that info? Hahaha.... Of course I can. I have a training booklet to refer from. xD

So deal with it.hahahaha.....xD O yea, you’re following my footstep? xD Best of luck, sis. Don't worry, Additional Maths isn't that bad.

• I start guitar lesson dah~
  Baru jua 3 lesson... so still ada bunyi ‘dead fish’ (That’s how Mrs Morris says it) Apparently, that’s the polite way to say “ANCUR...ANCUR...”
  
• I had my Chemistry AS exam. Only the first module though. It was ermmm...quite tough. Can’t wait for the result to come out. It is said to be on the 12th of March. Wish me luck~
  
• Internal Exam
  Gone through all... Result A’s and borderline of A. For some, I made silly careless mistakes. =S
  
• DOE
  Went to Shrewbury last week to buy our DOE kits. I spent almost 150pounds. Gila....lum lagi abis semua d bali tu. The next day we went hiking with Mr Morris. Jauh~ Of course ngalih, but only the early bit. After a while it gets easier and you won’t feel that cold. But when you stop...then it gets colder. (Shenna said because body temperature starts to cool down)
  We will be doing our First Aid course this coming Saturday. It will be 6hr. Dapat ku concentrate kn nie?
  
• Ball
  6th Feb, Valentine’s Ball. Compulsory for all 6th formers. Dresscode: Dress/Black Tie
  Erm.....no comment
